Our Patient Advisory & Advocacy Council (PAAC) advises SCAGO on healthcare gaps for SCD patients, recommending improvements and collaborating with Ontario hospitals.

SCAGO champions and advocates cohesively with healthcare systems and governments on pivotal matters to guarantee patients' access to equitable multifaceted care and treatment.

The goals of the organization and the PAAC are to promote the health of our citizens, reduce pain and suffering, and help families affected by sickle cell disease to have improved quality of life. We support Ontario families and clinicians in the following ways:

SCAGO champions and campaigns cohesively on pivotal matters to guarantee patients' eui access to multifaceted care, concurrently enabling the patients and enhancing the awareness of the medical and associated health personnel attending to them.

The goals of the organization are to promote the health of our citizens, reduce pain and suffering, help people to live as nearly normal lives as possible, and to raise the level of awareness and knowledge of the patients in the following key issues:

With its vision of optimizing the lives of individuals with sickle cell disease, it becomes imperative that the Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario continues to build a patient-centric culture which has been further enhanced by the establishment of the Patient Advisory and Advocacy Council (PAAC)
