Lanre Tunji-Ajayi is a global patient advocate for sickle cell disease (SCD) with decades of experience in patient engagement and program development. She co-founded the Global Alliance of Sickle Cell Disease Organizations and the Global Action Network for Sickle Cell & Other Inherited Blood Disorders (GANSID). As the Co-founder of SCAGO and Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada (SCDAC), she has significantly raised the visibility of sickle cell disease in Canada. Her efforts include advocating for new-born screening, securing funding, and influencing health policies. She is also recognized for her leadership with several prestigious awards.
