Psychology Clinician
Sandra Newton is an experienced clinician with training in developmental, clinical, and school psychology (M.A. and Ph.D., University of Toronto) as well as a longstanding interest in advocacy, education, and support for children, youth, and adults with sickle cell disease. At SCAGO, Dr. Newton facilitates workshops and Peer Support Group sessions to support research initiatives (Vaccination Acceptance within the Sickle Cell Disease/Black Community (Public Health Agency of Canada), and provides supportive counseling to clients.
