Lanre Tunji-Ajayi is a global patient advocate for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) with decades of experience in patient engagement and program development. She co-founded the Global Alliance of Sickle Cell Disease Organizations and the Global Action Network for Sickle Cell & Other Inherited Blood Disorders. As the Co-founder of SCAGO and Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada (SCDAC), she has significantly raised the visibility of sickle cell disease in Canada. Her efforts include advocating for newborn screening, securing funding, and influencing health policies. She is also recognized for her leadership with several prestigious awards.
