Administrative Assistant
Esther Otieno is SCAGO’s Administrative Assistant and a fourth-year Life Sciences student at the University of Toronto, aspiring to pursue medicine in hematology. Inspired by the loss of her aunt to sickle cell disease, she brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to her work.
Esther has frontline experience supporting vulnerable populations through her role as a resident support worker in a long-term care home and through ongoing volunteer service with food banks and homeless shelters. At SCAGO, she manages the support and info emails, ensuring community members receive timely, attentive assistance. She is dedicated to helping individuals feel heard, supported, and connected to the resources they need.
